Photographing Historic Buildings

This day school, led by a professional photographer, is designed to make you more confident behind the lens - regardless of prior experience or equipment - and to send you home with some great pictures.

Working in small groups, against the fantastic backdrop of Lincoln Cathedral, our tutor will take you through the essentials of heritage photography. With clear examples, she will explain:

- The secrets of composing beautiful pictures
- How to get the best out of any subject
- The technical side clearly and simply

Our digital imaging session is suitable for both the experienced and the absolute beginner and is designed to give you lots of feedback about your work.

From the best way to capture a castle to the secrets of photographing much smaller historical treasures, we aim to make sure you enjoy the course and improve your skills permanently.

A word about equipment

While expensive digital or film SLR (Single Lens Reflex) cameras do give you more flexibility there is absolutely no reason why you can't get fabulous pictures on a point-and-shoot compact camera, either film or digital. If you have any concerns about whether your camera will be suitable please contact us.
