About Lindum Heritage

At Lindum Heritage we care passionately about our archaeological and historic past and want everyone to have the best opportunity to explore it through a supportive and high quality experience. Our short breaks will give you the chance to get to know the various cities and counties we visit while learning about aspects of the past that you are interested in. Although based in Lincolnshire - where many of our short breaks take place- we are not limited to the county; wherever there is heritage in need of exploration we will be there!

At Lindum Heritage we always strive to improve the already high quality of our courses and welcome comments and suggestions from participants. If you have an idea for a course that you would like to see us run please let us know. We are also able to arrange bespoke courses and tours for groups of any size, large or small.

In 2004 the excellence of the company was publicly recognised when we were declared outright winners of the Lincolnshire and Rutland Future Winning Business Award.

Lindum Heritage also provide a range of specialist services to the heritage sector, both professional and community-based. These include: training courses, heritage interpretation and editorial services, consultancy work, and website design. To give some examples recent activity has included oral history training for a community heritage group (Hackthorn & Cold Hanworth Local History Group), the design and hosting of a website for another local group (Nettleham Heritage Association) and the design and management of a website for the Lincoln Record Society. Contact Lindum Heritage Services to find out how we could help your group, company or personal CPD.

Company ethos:
We take our obligations to the country's heritage, environment and communities very seriously. As a result we have adopted a range of policies that guide our course planning and activities. These include sustainable tourism, environmental and disability access policies. We are a member of our local Woodland Trust group through whom we sponsor tree-planting activities to off-set our carbon footprint; appropriately enough the group in question are part of a major project to replant areas of the ancient forest known as the 'Limewoods' just to the north-east of Lincoln . A further aspect of our approach is our involvement in, and support of, community-based heritage projects. Lindum Heritage is a Corporate Friend of both Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle.
