Zoë Tomlinson, Director of Lindum Heritage, has just published a new illustrated walking guide to the historic city. The guide describes a circular walk that is broken down into sixteen shorter segments.

The walk begins outside the magnificent west front of the cathedral and takes in buildings and monuments from the Roman period through to the Victorian. The book is fully inclusive and covers not only Up Hill Lincoln but also the more modern down hill area.

If you live in Lincoln, plan to visit the city, or just love old English towns then you really need to have a copy. The guide is available through Ottakar's Bookshop in Lincoln or you can buy it direct from Lindum Heritage using the PayPal link below.

(All copies purchased through this website will be dispatched with FREE post & packing to any UK address, overseas purchasers should contact us to confirm postage costs before ordering).

In December 2004 Craig Spence, Academic Director at Lindum Heritage, published a new and lavishly illustrated history of the city. The authoritative and highly readable text traces the history of Lincoln from its Roman origins through the highs of the medieval city and on to the Victorian industrial resurgence.

The book, priced £14.99, is published by Ottakars bookshops. It is available from the Lincoln branch, or by the purchase of a mail-order voucher at any other Ottakars bookshop. (It is not yet available through the LH-Online Bookshop).

The contents of the book will be brought to life in June 2006 when Craig Spence will lead the Lindum Heritage weekend break - Discover Historic Lincoln.
