Lindum Heritage tour participants are always guided by experts

Lindum Heritage is renowned for its historic short-break experience - it's why we have a large loyal following of attendees who keep coming back time and time again to try out our other great adventures.

We have a variety of weekend and midweek breaks including Historian and Archaeologist-led tours of some the country's greatest sites, our popular Churches of Britain experiences and the start of our active move into Military History through Runways To War. All are presented by professional archaeologists, historians, writers, artists and photographers who are not only expert in their chosen field but also committed to education and life-long learning. They all enjoy sharing their knowledge and always do so in a friendly and supportive way. Our guides will always be on hand to provide whatever explanation and guidance you may need. Our tour experiences are always delivered in small groups of up to 20 to ensure close personal attention to all participants.

We strive to make participants on our historical experiences feel as if they have stepped back in time

Every break begins with a wine reception, which gives you a chance to meet us and the other people on your tour in a relaxed atmosphere. This is followed by an introductory lecture. We also meet up each evening during the tour to enjoy a group dinner in a chosen local restaurant or our hotel. Accommodation, the wine reception, tea and coffee breaks and dinner each evening are all inclusive within the tour experience cost, making your short break excellent value for money.

Non-participating partners are always welcome and may take part in some aspects of each break for a very reasonable charge; please contact us for more details.

We care that all our participants whether traveling in a group or alone have a safe, secure and enjoyable experience and are particularly aware of the needs of those traveling alone. Indeed, many of our participants attend alone and value greatly the excellent care we take of them.

No previous experience is required to take part in any of our courses ... you need only bring your enthusiasm!

BESPOKE BREAKS: Now's your chance to organise an archaeology, history or creative break for your group but let Lindum Heritage take the strain. We are happy to provide tailor-made all inclusive breaks for archaeology or history societies, U3A, OU, writers and artists groups, windmill enthusiasts, camera clubs, aviation heritage organisations, or private groups and individuals. Bespoke breaks are tailored to your specific requirements and can take place anytime during the year. Use the Contact link to discuss your ideas or give us a call on 01522 845060.
