June issue of Current Archaeology magazine: Adam Daubney the Finds Liaison Officer for the Portable Antiquities Scheme in Lincolnshire has won the Jeffery May award. This was awarded by Current Archaeology magazine for his article on Medieval Venetian coins.

July 5 - Lecture on the Eagle Squadrons of Kirton in Lindsey: Spend an evening at Hemswell Court, Lancaster Green, Gainsborough, steeped in wartime history with a presentation about fighter squadrons formed by volunteer pilots from the United States at RAF Kirton Lindsey in aid of Help for Heroes and the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance. Always an enjoyable and moving highlight of our Runways to War tour is the talk at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heriage Centre given by Fred Panton about his wartime childhood living next to a World War Two airfield. Fred and brother Harold got Lancaster Just Jane's engines roaring again in memory of their airman brother Christopher who was killed over Nuremberg in 1944
